Year end blogpost
In my short grade 8 year, it has been very worthwhile and entertaining. I have made good progress in my study habits and my physical education. I have been constantly growing height, size and in maturity. My physical strength, core muscles and arm muscles have also been constantly fluctuating in size depending on what I do. I already have this class to help me and I play sports outside to further increase my self capabilities. This year has truly helped me become fit and taught me to become more physically active rather than just play video games all day. Push ups, sit ups, wight lifting, intense core building, basketball, rugby and exercises are things I learned and did throughout the year and earned the habit of doing. I had a lot of fun doing games and exercises that we did and the strenuous activity helps us a lot. I had a really fun and exciting gym year.

In P.E. So far i have been improving and improving my physical health. It has helped me quite alot to help me become stronger and healthier which will help me later in life. I try hard in the activities before me and occassionally forget my gym strip. In games like basketball, Lacross, Capture the flag, I try my hardest because it is what i like to do. I love when we are given the choices and i love to pick basketball because it gets me so much more fit by making me enjoy it and trying hard. In the beep test i got 10 even in jeans, i still tried my hardest. I personally think that i've been trying really hard and i reflect to what i have been doing and i think i have been working really hard.

Participation - What have been some of your best days? When have you felt that you are working your hardest? Is something standing in the way of giving your best every day? What motivates you to participate & why?
Some of my best days were when we were working out in the workout room because i like to get physically active and build stronger muscles. I also did well in the lacross game because i ran hard and scored points for my team.
Field Trips - What have been the most enjoyable - why? Any new experiences? Anything you might try again?

Fitness - Are you seeing any improvements in fitness? Be specific. What would you like to continue to improve upon?
I have actually improved alot in my physical fitness. I would like to continue to work on my upper body strength to help increase me throws and strength

I play basketball outside of fitness as a personal choice, though not on a team. I still play basketball where i can like in a gym or in an outside court. I am proud to be a basketball player!

Ralph's Active Learning Log
During PE this year, how have you shown you are prepared and willing to participate in a variety of activities? On what days have you participated to your best effort and why? What days have been a struggle for you and why?
So far in the year i have been trying my very best to do gym and get even more physically healthy. Even when i didnt't like the activity I would try my best so i can get an A in the class. The pond run is a bit difficult for me but it's an obstacle i can overcome quickly.
How do you contribute to the overall success of the class? What kind of attitude do you bring and why? How do you interact with other students in our class?
Active learning for me is something essential in the school year because we teens only spend a majority of our life on computer, phones and other technologies anyways. Active learning help us get fit and healthy in a fun yet it helps us in lots of aspects in life. During the school year active learning was pretty fun for me and i would always try and participate in the activites thrown at me. I especially like choice since it gives us a variety of strenuous activity and which ever one we like, we can participate in. It's better than a boring dictatorship where you guys give us 1 option and to my understanding and perspective of this, people try harder if they are given what they want and this certainly goes for me too. I try my best in participating in activities and i do show a positive attitude where i encourage others to try too.
Describe your participation during fitness days - have you been able to push yourself physically? What types of fitness activities do you enjoy the most? What fitness goals do you have for the rest of the year?
I especially like choice since it gives us a variety of strenuous activity and which ever one we like, we can participate in. It's better than a boring dictatorship where you guys give us 1 option and to my understanding and perspective of this, people try harder if they are given what they want and this certainly goes for me too.
What does "leadership" mean to you? Who are the best leaders in our class - why?
Leadership to me is someone who shows outstanding potential in leading our class to what we are supposed to do, Doing what we should be doing by setting an amazing example and helping others improve themselves.
A leader is someone who shows great potential in guiding the class to what we are supposed to do and is someone who helps their peers whenever they can.
What improvements would you like to make in PE by the end of the year? What are you the most proud of so far?
